You have already been guided on how to create a new post in wordpress in the previous post. Today I will share some other features when creating posts, which are usually hidden. These wordpress features are hidden because it is of little importance that may not be needed when creating posts. However, it also has its own benefits, otherwise WordPress would have no reason to include it.
To enable these features, look at the top of the page where the Options link is visible. Click on it, it will bring up the options as shown below. In the box , please tick all the unselected boxes for yourself.
Then you will scroll down to see more optional features as below. Now I will explain the meaning and use of these hidden features.

1. Summary:
This is the summary of the content, a description of the main content of the article. Basically, this summary will not appear anywhere, not even in the article. However, some themes use this summary to display outside the article list or for another purpose.
2. Send trackbacks:
Trackbacks are a link pointing back if you in this article you create a link to another article. For example, you compose an article on website A and have a link pointing to the article of a website B. This Send trackbacks function will help you to send a pingbacks notification to the linked article on website B. Also the article This will automatically display a link pointing to your article on website A at the end of the article.
For this feature to work, both websites use WordPress and the trackback/pingback feature of both websites must be enabled (it’s on by default).
3. Custom Fields:
This is an advanced feature of the article. It is rarely used, unless you create your own interfaces and need more information for the article. For example, if you want to customize the article’s interface, you fill in the following: The name is written immediately or has a “-” sign, if there are many fields, the Name must be unique. The value for the field, is the content that will appear in the post. In the interface, you will use the code to call the Name of the field, the corresponding value will appear in the article.
4. Discussion:
This is a feature that allows you to enable or disable comments for this article only.
5. String for static path:
Is the link to the article. By default, wordpress will automatically create the path according to the post name without spaces and adding “-“. However, you can also create the path you like by filling in this box.
6. Author:
Choosing the author for this article is suitable for those who want to live virtual. They want to show that their website has many authors, but actually only 1 person posts. You create many members then each post chooses another author here, people will “think a lot”.
