KWFinder: the best alternative to Google Keyword Planner

Tutorials 0 lượt xem

All SEO people know this.

The Google Keyword Planner has long been our favorite tool.

Simply it’s free. It tells us the number of monthly searches for the keyword.

But Google Keyword Planner is not a tool Google created for us.

So who is it for?

Simple answer: It’s for people who run Google Adwords ads.

Therefore, Google has changed this tool. You no longer see the exact number of searches for the keyword.

Instead you will see the range of search volumes for the keyword. To see the same numbers as before, you have to spend money on running ads.

Let’s say we research the keyword “on- page seo “. Here is the range of average monthly searches for on-page seo keywords:

The 100-1K number means 100 to 1000 searches on average monthly. Obviously, we have trouble knowing the exact number of monthly average searches.

So is there any alternative keyword research tool for Google Keyword Planner?

Perhaps, you heard about LongTail Pro . LongTail Pro was once a much-loved keyword research tool. It helps you find longtail keywords with low competition. With the Platinum version you also know the level of competition of the keyword.

But now LongTail Pro has changed. But according to many bloggers, that change is in the downward direction. I have not used the newly released cloud version.

On many forums, facebook groups, people complain a lot about the quality of the cloud version. Particularly for the desktop version, after changing to using Majestic data, the accuracy of SEO parameters has been problematic.

Not to mention using the desktop version has the inherent disadvantage of slow speed. Captcha input is common if you don’t adjust the time period to access data from Google.

In such a context, KWFinder emerges as the best keyword research tool to replace Google Keyword Planner.

Want to discover more about this powerful tool?

Let’s start together

Price

For accurate pricing you should create an account a free account. You visit here . Enter email and password. So you have an account. Too simple right?

After creating an account, KWFinder will offer a 10% discount for a limited time of one hour:

KWFinder offers you 3 packages. Paying one year in advance, you save 50%. Specifically, the Premium plan costs $269 ($22/month). The Basic plan costs $129 ($11/month).

In addition to the 2 paid packages, KWFinder also offers a free plan. This package mainly tells you how KWFinder works because the feature is quite limited.

You only research up to 3 keywords per day. And only 25 related keywords show up for each search.

So you can only search up to 75 keywords a day. But you only know the difficulty for 3 keywords per day.

Note: If you don’t have a lot of keyword research needs, you can sign up for a one-month trial. During that month, you only focus on keyword research using the KWFinder tool. If you do it well, you will have enough low-competition keywords to write articles for the website in the long run.

Keyword research

KWFinder claims to get its data from various sources including major providers like Majestic, Moz. So it gives the average monthly number of searches for the keyword quite accurately.

Going back to the keyword ” seo onpage ” example above.

With KWFinder this keyword research is very simple. Enter keywords in the search box, select the country, and language. Then click the Anal yz e button .

You can now see the average monthly search volume and keyword difficulty. The keyword ” onpage seo ” has a search volume of 480 and a difficulty of 29 (easy to rank). These parameters are much better than Google Keyword Planner. Not to mention it also reveals you many related keywords.

Speaking of keyword difficulty in KWFinder, this parameter is very intuitive. Looking at it, you can immediately know if the keyword is difficult or easy. Unlike LongTailPro, you have to read more documents to know exactly how much KC a keyword has to rank easily. Because KC in LongTailPro does not have an accompanying explanation.

KC (Keyword Competitiveness) : A number from 0 to 100 in LongTail Pro indicates the level of keyword competition. You should aim for keywords with KCs below 30.

Besides, KWFinder has a graphic section on search trends for each keyword in 12 months. This tells you whether the keyword is currently attractive to the reader or not.

In the lower right hand corner, you will see the first 10 page results in the Google SERP (Google search engine results page). In this box, you will know the SEO parameters (using Moz’s parameters) for these 10 pages.

Parameters like DA, or backlinks are important bases to help you evaluate whether you can beat these competitors or not.

If you want to get more detailed information about Google SERP, you can try another tool SERPChecker . This is a new tool from Mangools , the company behind KWFinder.

It is worth noting that this tool is not sold separately, but bundled with KWFinder. If you buy KWFinder or SERPChecker, you can use both by default.

Besides, KFinder also provides you with three features to help you do keyword research more productively.

First, you can store the keyword to a List. Simply select the keywords you want to add to the list, and click the Add to List button below.

Enter the name of the list

You can also export the results to a csv file

Last feature:

You can enter a list of keywords you want to research. Just click on the  Import keywords link and upload a txt or csv file containing the keywords (one per keyword). The number of results depends on the package you purchase:

  • Basic package : You search for 100 keywords a day, each keyword will display 200 related keywords. So a day you can search up to 20,000 keywords.
  • Premium plan : Up to 500 keywords a day and 700 related keywords. So you have a maximum search of 350,000.

A bit exaggerated:

With this tool you can have enough keywords to write for a lifetime of a website

Epilogue

KWFinder is very easy to use tool. If you are new to SEO, all parameters have detailed explanations when you hover.

Minh really liked the keyword difficulty parameter. It is very easy to understand. Looking at it is to know if the keyword is “delicious” or not? No need to guess.

In addition, KWFinder makes it easy to find low-competition longtail keywords. The remaining task is to write SEO optimized articles . And build a backlink strategy accordingly.
