In February 2016, HawkHost officially integrated the Let’s Encrypt certificate in cPanel.
The initial idea is that you will manually install this certificate as I have shown here .
But fortunately cPanel supports automatic certificate installation for domains added to hosting. I used to know this method in some domestic services like Ftech or HostVN .
But HawkHost is better in that:
It still provides an interface that gives you more control over the automatic Let’s Encrypt certificate installation.
Basically from now on you don’t need to install Let’s Encrypt manually anymore. If you buy hosting, the main domain will automatically install this Let’s Encrypt certificate.
If you add a domain like add-on domain, the certificate will also install automatically. You don’t have to move your hands or feet at all.
You only have to install the Really Simple plugin in WordPress and you are done.
However, we also explore the interface that HawkHost puts you in control of the automatic Let’s Encrypt certificate installation. From there, if the automatic process has any errors, it is easier for you to fix it.
Currently the SSL certificate status will be in the SSL/TLS Status section.

Clicking on that will take you to a certificate status screen like this:

Bad points of automatic installation:
As you know we usually install Let’s Encrypt certificates for www and non-www domains such as codermaterial.com and www.codermaterial.com.
But now the automatic mode will install all subdomains leading to the error as shown in the screenshot. Of course, you don’t need to worry about this error because we don’t want to install Let’s Encrypt certificates for them.
In this update, HawkHost will send such error email. You can configure when to receive emails as below. But here you can click Exclude from AutoSSL to remove the subdomain from the automatic installation.
Here you can proactively install the Let’s Encrypt certificate manually through Run AutoSSL .
HawkHost will send an email notifying you of the SSL status. However, if you do not want to receive too many emails, you can go to the contact section to reconfigure

Change options as you like

Those are all changes in HawkHost’s Let’s Encrypt certificate settings.
