Promo codes are a way to thank customers and promote products. Especially during the holidays, stores apply many discount offers. This is to attract customers, increase orders for the store. In WooCommerce, we can create coupon codes, applicable to each product type. This article will guide you in detail on how to create a coupon code.

Generate promo code for WooCommerce
To, you go to the menu WooCommerce > Offers . Then tap Add New Code .
We enter a name for this promo code, for example: Uudai10 . This is a 10% discount code and applies to mobile phones.
In the General section of Promo code data , you set the following:

Offer type:
- Discount by %: is how much discount of the total price applied to the product eligible for the promotion.
- Fixed cart discount: how much discount for the total cart price
- Fixed product discount: is how much discount for each type of product to enjoy the incentive
- Incentive level: how much %, or how much.
- Allow free shipping: offer applies to free shipping.
- Offer expiration date: apply until any date.
Restricted use
- Minimum spend: the minimum amount customers must buy to use the discount code.
- Maximum spending: the maximum amount of money customers can buy will be applied. Exceeding this amount will not be preferential, to avoid the case that the incentive amount is too large.
- For personal use only: only one coupon code can be applied in case of multiple offers.
- Excludes discounted products: Offer does not apply to products on sale.
- Products: offers apply to specific products selected here.
- Product exclusions: offer does not apply to specific products selected here.
- Product categories: the offer applies to all products in the specific categories selected here. (I choose the Phones category )
- Exclude categories: offer does not apply to all products in specific categories selected here.
- Allowed email: customers who order by these emails will be eligible for the discount. Used for gratitude to VIP customers, or guests’ birthdays.
Usage Limits
- Usage limit per discount code : how many times each discount code can be used, by all customers.
- Limit use to X products: how many products in the cart can apply this discount code.
After setting everything up, click the button Post this promo code.
Try Promo Code
Then go to the products in the Phones category, because this code I apply to the phone product. Go to buy a phone, then go to the shopping cart page. There will be a coupon code box here, enter the coupon code you just created and press the Apply button .
If the product and price are eligible for the offer as I have set up, the shopping cart will notify successfully. In the price calculation, the preferential price is also added and the total price will be recalculated.
