In the second post of this Woocommerce Tutorial series . We will install and configure the woocommerce online store. Because the woocommerce configuration section has quite a few items. So I will divide this lesson into 2 parts, to reduce the stress of the writer, as well as the reader.

Set up woocommerce
First you need to go to the plugin page, search and install the WooCommerce plugin and then activate it.
After activating the Woocommerce plugin, if it shows any message, don’t care but go back to the Dashboard. Now you see 3 new menus appear: WooCommerce , Products , Analytics . Now go to menu WooCommerce > Settings
In the first tab is the General tab , you set the following:
- Store Address: Enter the address of your business store, or warehouse.
- Selling only some areas: Although according to your choice, it will only be opened in the immediate future, selling in Vietnam only. Select Restrict sales to certain countries only , then add Vietnam.
- Other information to default.

- Tax activation: enable tax activation if required.
- Enable promo codes: if you want to give your customers a discount in the future, turn on Allow using discount codes .
- Currency options: if you sell in Vietnam, set it up as shown in the picture. You let the price display exactly in Vietnamese currency, for example: 200,000 VND
- After each setting, remember to press the Save button .

Configure the Product section
Next is the Products tab:
- Shop page: is the page that will display all products. First you need to create a Page named “Shop”, or “Shop” as you like, leave the content blank, click the Publish Page button. Then return to the Product setup page . In the Shop Page section, click and select the page you just created.
- Alternative image : used when the product does not have an image, it will display this alternate image. You go to the Gallery to upload photos, then copy the image link and paste it in this box.
- Evaluation : depending on the need to allow customers to evaluate the product, you tick the corresponding boxes.

Configure Tax section
Now go to the Tax tab , if you have enabled tax before, you must set this item up.
- Import price includes tax: the option when entering the price for the product is the price including tax or not. Depending on the type of sale you choose accordingly.
- Additional taxes: you delete them all and enter VAT
- The other settings you leave as default or leave as shown. Then press the Save Changes button .
Configure the address in the Woocommerce plugin
After saving you will see a VAT rate button that means the rate of the VAT you just entered above. You click here to set the tax rate. Here you leave the boxes blank, the percentage you enter the tax percentage, for example 10. If you sell in many countries, or each city has different taxes, you click the button Insert more goods , enter the country code or the city calculates the tax and fills in the rate.
Delivery section configuration
Particularly the Shipping section is quite detailed, you can see this article: Adding shipping methods in WooCommerce.
Now via the Payment tab , there are 4 payment methods by default. In the immediate future, we only turn on 2 methods of Bank Transfer and Cash Payment , which are the two most commonly used methods in Vietnam. Then you press the setting button for Bank Transfer method .

For customers to have more transfer information, you can add the Instructions line. Then add the account information that will receive the goods. If you have multiple accounts, click the Add account button and fill in the information.
