Step by step guide to create your own domain email with Zoho

Tutorials 0 lượt xem

Right after installing a WordPress website, you should create an email with your own domain name.

A private domain email like contact@ will look more professional than a google email.

If you use a shared host, you can use the email service included in cPanel to create your own domain email.

But the best:

You should use well-known free services like Zoho and Yandex.

With the free Zoho Mail plan, you can add a domain. You can also create up to 25 users. The capacity limit for each mailbox is 5 GB. If you want to expand more, you have to spend money to buy higher packages.

Meanwhile, Yandex’s service is better than Zoho’s. In Yandex, you can add unlimited domains on one account. The maximum number of users is 1000 users. And there is no limit to the size of the mail box. See instructions for creating your own domain email with Yandex.

But when it comes to email activation, Zoho is better than Yandex in that:

Zoho works well with all Vietnamese carriers. And not Yandex. Typically Viettel network you will not receive an activation code with Yandex.

In today’s article, I will show you step-by-step how to create your own domain email with Zoho Mail.

Step by step guide to create your own domain email with Zoho

You will now be redirected to the private domain email setup screen.

First you need to confirm you are the domain owner. Choose your domain registrar from the list. I choose Others to suit all situations.

As soon as you choose, you will see instructions to verify the domain.

There are 3 ways for you to authenticate the domain owner. Because sooner or later you will have to manipulate DNS, so you follow the CNAME . method

I usually use CloudFlare DNS for all my domains. I recommend you do the same because CloudFlare DNS is better than domain registrar’s.

With CloudFlare I will add a CNAME record with name and value as instructed.

Once you’ve finished adding the record in CloudFlare, you’ll return to the Zoho side screen. Click the Proceed to CNAME Verification button .

In addition, you should also add a CNAME record with Name as mail and Value as business.zoho.com .

This way you can access the mail.domain.com link (my example is mail.ebooklaptrinh.com) to view mail on the web. Easy to remember and convenient, right?

After adding, click the Next button to go to the next step.
