In today’s post, I will review another plugin that creates a dedicated email signup form for MailChimp. According to my personal assessment, this is the plugin with the most attractive features and works optimally for MailChimp.
The plugin I am referring to is ChimpMate Pro . This plugin is currently available for sale on Codecanyon, the leading reputable WordPress plugin marketplace today.
At the moment of the post the price of the plugin is 21$. Compared to what ChipMate Pro gives you this price is not too expensive.

How to install and connect MailChimp
After purchasing the plugin on Codecanyon, you will download the plugin as a zip file to your device. Actually this is not a plugin, you need to extract this file to see the plugin inside.
Next you install the plugin by uploading the zip file in WordPress like regular paid plugins. See our WordPress plugin installation guide if you’re new to WordPress.
As soon as the plugin is activated, you will see a new section called ChimpMate in the WordPress Admin.
After clicking on ChimpMate, the plugin asks you to provide an API key to connect to MailChimp
Click the link here to go to MailChimp’s website.
Here you copy the API key.
Then go back to the plugin’s configuration page and paste it in the API Key section. Finally, click on the GET LISTS link to get the list in MailChimp
Next you need to create an email signup form. By default, the plugin creates a form for you named Form1. You can create new forms as you like. Here I will edit Form1.
First, you need to select a List of Lists that you created in MailChimp. Then you click on the pencil icon to configure the form fields.
By default you will have an Email field, you can add fields by clicking the Add button. After you have added the field, click the OK button. Don’t forget to click the Update Options button every time you make any changes in the plugin configuration.
How to display email registration form
LightBox
You click on the LightBox tab. By default LightBox is enabled and Form 1 is selected. Therefore, if you have done the above step of editing Form 1, the popup will appear when you visit the website.
In this section you can choose the interface for the popup and make many other customizations. You can refer to the documentation for more details.
Good tip
Popups are often annoying to users, so you should only display them sparingly. In the behavior section of the LightBox you choose the optionReappearch after _ day using Cookie . Enter the number of days you want to display again.
Additionally, you can select the Disappear if subscribed option . That way you won’t disturb the people who have already signed up for the email. Remember to click the Update Options button before checking again.
Slider
Similar to LightBox, by default Slider is turned on. To configure you click on the Slider tab. Select the form and look you want. Next, you can personalize the interface.
Widgets
Widgets are also enabled by default. To display you go to Appearance -> Widgets . You will see a new widget called Chimpmate.
Drag the widget to the sidebar you want to display. It’s done. To configure the widget, click on the Widget tab in the plugin’s admin screen
Add-ons
The Add-on section allows you to choose from a few other forms of plugin display including:
- Subscribe box: Email subscription box appears in post/page
- Topbar Subscription Box: The subscription form appears in the bar at the top or bottom of the screen
- Flipbox Subscription Box: The registration form pops up in the corners of the screen
- Subscribe to Unlock: The registration form covers the content in the post/page.
All forms are turned off by default. If you want to use any form then turn it on, choose a theme and make changes to the appearance and behavior if you like.
Instructions for using MailChimp’s Group feature
Groups are one of MailChimp’s powerful features that help you target the right audience based on their interests and interests.
For example, you want to have a group that includes people who like to receive weekly emails and a group that likes to receive monthly emails.

2. Click on the drop-down menu next to the list you want to work with and choose Manage Contacts

6.After entering the group information, click the Save button.
Now go to the General tab of ChimpMate Pro. Scroll to the form creation section. You should see a new field you just created. Select that field. Click the OK button and Update Options.
Visit the website and you will see an email registration form that has a new field that allows users to choose the group they want to join.

I am very impressed with what Chimmmate Pro has to offer. It is difficult to find features in the email signup form plugin that Chimpmate Pro does not support.
In addition, Chimpmate Pro offers a lot of customization that makes it possible to edit email collection forms without any programming skills. It may be a bit difficult for you to use Chimpmate Pro at first because of the sheer number of options.
On top of that, Chimpmate Pro’s default interface is beautiful with a trendy Material design. The speed of Chimpmate Pro is very fast, does not affect the web experience much, if not, your web will become more eye-catching.
