Do you want to remove the “Auto-login” option from the WordPress login?
This option is a feature that allows users to automatically log in on the next visit. In this article, I will show you how to remove that option.

Why remove the “Automatically sign in” option?
When you or a user of your site selects the “Auto-login” checkbox, WordPress stores that information in a browser cookie for 2 weeks.
That means the next time they visit your website, they can immediately access the admin page without having to log in.
While it makes logins faster, it can pose a security risk to those accessing their WordPress admin area from Wifi or a public computer.
By turning off the “Automatically sign in” checkbox, you and your users will have to sign in again every time the web browser is closed. Overall, this will somewhat improve the security of your website.
Remove “Auto-login” option from WordPress login page
The easiest way to remove this option is to use the Remember Me Controls plugin .
Although this plugin has not been updated for a long time, I have tested this plugin with WordPress 6.0 version and it is still working properly.
Done when installing and activating the plugin, go to Settings -> Remember Me. Then select the option Disable the “Remember Me” feature?

Now when you visit the login page again. You will no longer see the “Automatically sign in” option.
