Have you ever crashed your website when updating a plugin?
It is normal for the plugin to be incompatible with the WordPress version, or conflict with other plugins. If your plugin is still working fine in the old version, then it’s time to think about downgrading it to a lower version and wait for new updates.
Downgrade plugin version directly
First way, you can downgrade plugin version directly through wordpress.org plugin repository
In this article, I will guide you to downgrade plugins, specifically the Gutenberg plugin
Go to wordpress.org and navigate to the Gutenberg plugin page
Now click on the Advanced View link as shown in the screenshot below.
Then scroll to the bottom of the page, select a specific version you want to downgrade, and click the Download button.
Now you can delete existing plugin and install your specific plugin version in wp-content/plugins/ folder using FTP, File Manager plugin, Cpanel etc and don’t forget to reactivate it.
Using WP Rollback Plugin
What if you want an easier method than the one above? Then the WP Rollback plugin was born for you.
First, like every other plugin. You have to go to the admin interface to install the plugin.

Once installed and activated, you will see a new path named Rollback below each plugin.

If you click on the Rollback link it will take you to a page where you can see which versions you have installed and which versions you can also rollback.

Simply select the previous version and then click the Rollback button . The plugin will now display a popup with a message asking if you are sure you want to roll back to an older version of the plugin. Click the Rollback button to confirm.

WP Rollback will now download and replace your current plugin version.
Epilogue
Through the above 2 ways, hopefully will help you to downgrade your WordPress plugin version.
