When operating a sales website, there are many ways to stimulate customers to buy. In particular, creating the council effect is also an effective method, which means that when customers see many other people buying, they may also buy.
When a new order is created, you can show a notification that someone has just made a purchase. It will help motivate customers who are on the website to be curious to see the product that has just been purchased, and increase the likelihood of a purchase.
Create Purchase Alerts for your WordPress Store
To do this, we will use the free NotificationX plugin. The free version can create store notifications, notifications for new comments, or notifications for new contacts. However, it has limited features, such as creating only one type of notification, or the NotificationX logo that will appear with the notification. Its commercial version starts at $39.
First, we can install this plugin from the plugin page, then activate it.

Once activated, it will open the quick create screen. I name it as Sale Fomo. Then select Notification Type as Sale Notification .

Below, choose Source from WooCommerce .

Through the Design step , you choose 1 of 3 free themes for notifications.

The next step in the Content section , we will set up how the message will appear. This includes choosing the type of customer name (Full Name), action (just purchased, or purchased, depending on what you fill in), followed by the product name (Product Title), and the time type. Then, select the link to the product detail page (Product Page).

The next step, I will choose the image that appears in the notification. You can choose 1 of 5 existing images, or upload a new image, or use a product image (Featured Image).

Below, you will choose the areas where the notification will appear (Show on), and choose who this notification will appear to (Display for).

In the final step, you will set:
- Position: the position where the message appears.
- Notification Size: notification size (horizontal).
- Display Close Option: show the button to turn off the notification.
- Mobile Visibility: whether on the phone or not.

Next to the Timing section:
- Delay Before first notification: time to wait before showing the first notification.
- Display for: how long each notification is displayed
- Delay between: time to wait for the next message.

In the Behaviour section :
- Display the last : show how many last orders in the notification
- Display from the last : shows orders made how many days ago
- Loop Notification : repeat the notifications after the display is over.
- Open Link In New Tap : open link in new page
Finally, click the Publish button.

And this is the result. Every time a customer places an order, it will display a message like this. If your website has just started up, and there are not many orders yet, you can create virtual orders yourself so that it shows more notifications.

Conclusion
The above is an easy way to create purchase notices for sales websites, to stimulate other customers to view products or order. You can also use the NotificationX plugin for blogs, to notify when someone comments on a post.
